GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
The Journal of Clinical Prosthodontics and Implantology (J-CPI) is committed to publishing high-quality, original, and evidence-based research that advances the science and clinical practice of prosthodontics, implant dentistry, oral rehabilitation, digital dentistry, dental biomaterials, and allied disciplines. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts that demonstrate scientific excellence, clinical relevance, innovation, and ethical integrity.
All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal. Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with these guidelines to facilitate an efficient editorial and peer-review process.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise, and professional English using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format and should follow these specifications:
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12 pt
- Line Spacing: Double
- Margins: 2.54 cm (1 inch) on all sides
- Page Size: A4
- Pages should be numbered consecutively.
- Standard scientific terminology and SI units should be used throughout the manuscript.
Manuscript Structure
Title Page
The title page should include:
- Full title of the manuscript
- Full names of all authors
- Institutional affiliations
- ORCID iDs (where available)
- Corresponding author's name, institutional affiliation, and email address
- Running title (maximum 50 characters)
- Word count
- Number of tables and figures
Abstract and Keywords
Original Research Articles should include a structured abstract (maximum 250 words) under the following headings:
- Background
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
Review Articles and Case Reports may include an unstructured abstract.
Provide 3–6 relevant keywords immediately after the abstract using internationally recognized terminology whenever possible.
Main Manuscript
Original Research Articles should generally be organized as follows:
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements (if applicable)
- Funding Statement
- Conflict of Interest Declaration
- Author Contributions
- References
Tables, Figures and Illustrations
Tables and figures should complement the text and not duplicate it.
- Number all tables and figures consecutively.
- Provide a concise title for each table.
- Submit figures in high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi) JPEG, TIFF, or PNG format.
- Each figure must have a corresponding legend.
- Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any previously published material.
References
References must be accurate, complete, and formatted according to the Vancouver Citation Style. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all cited references are correct and up to date.
Ethical Requirements
Research involving human participants or animals must comply with internationally accepted ethical standards and must have prior approval from the appropriate Institutional Ethics Committee or Institutional Review Board (IRB).
For studies involving human participants, informed consent must be obtained and clearly stated in the manuscript. Clinical trials should include the relevant trial registration number where applicable.
Authorship
Authorship should reflect substantial intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, interpretation, drafting, and approval of the manuscript. All authors must approve the final version before submission and agree to be accountable for the integrity of the published work.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, academic, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the research. If no conflicts exist, the following statement should be included:
"The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest."
Funding Statement
All financial support, grants, or sponsorships must be disclosed. If the study received no external funding, authors should state:
"This research received no external funding."
Plagiarism Policy
J-CPI maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, image manipulation, and other forms of research misconduct. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review. Manuscripts that fail to meet the journal's originality standards will be rejected.
Peer Review
Every manuscript undergoes an initial editorial assessment followed by a rigorous double-blind peer-review process conducted by independent experts in the relevant field. Editorial decisions are based on scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope.
Copyright and Licensing
Upon acceptance, authors will be required to complete the journal's copyright and licensing documentation. Authors retain responsibility for the originality of their work and for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material where applicable.
Submission Checklist
Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:
- The manuscript complies with the journal's formatting requirements.
- The work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- All authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript.
- Ethical approval and informed consent statements are included where applicable.
- Conflict of Interest and Funding Statements are provided.
- All tables, figures, and references are complete and correctly formatted.
- A Cover Letter and any required supplementary documents are included with the submission.
